Our Story

About HiveHaven

Three generations of beekeepers, one unwavering commitment to the craft.

Our Mission

Beekeeping as a Way of Life

HiveHaven was born from a simple belief: that the relationship between humans and bees is one of the most profound partnerships in nature. We don't just keep bees — we steward them.

Founded in 1987 by Eleanor Marsh in Oregon's Willamette Valley, HiveHaven has grown from a backyard hobby into a thriving apiary with over 120 hives. But our values have never changed: sustainable practices, minimal processing, and deep respect for the bees that make it all possible.

Every jar of honey we sell represents thousands of bee flights, careful tending, and a commitment to quality that no industrial operation can replicate.

What Guides Us

Our Core Values

🌿

Sustainability First

We practice regenerative beekeeping — never taking more than the hive can spare, and always prioritizing colony health over yield.

🔬

No Compromises

Our honey is never heated above 95°F, never ultra-filtered, and never blended with inferior sources. What you taste is pure.

🤝

Community Rooted

We partner with local farms, schools, and conservation groups to promote pollinator health across the Pacific Northwest.

📚

Education Driven

We believe an informed community is a healthier one. Our workshops and resources are designed to empower aspiring beekeepers.
